Changing the Chants Documentary

The Changing the Chants documentary presents a multiperspective investigation on the problem of antisemitsm in European football. Through the eyes of educators, football supporters, representatives of Changing the Chants partners, researchers and professionals, the documentary explores the complexity of the problem and investigates the possibilities of a change. The Changing the Chants documentary shows the important educational work that is already been done by football clubs Feyenoord and Borussia Dortmund and presents how the Changing the Chants project is building on this expertise.

About the Creator

Stefano Di Pietro is a filmmaker and creative producer who received his PhD in Cognitive Linguistics with a focus on Mass Communication from Sapienza University of Rome (2014) and did extensive research at UC Berkeley (2009-2011) and UCSD (2012) about Political Campaigns and the analysis of Mass Communications Phenomena from a multimedia perspective. He was sponsored and collaborated with the renowned media theorist and Political consultant George Lakoff. He worked on several EU-funded projects, including an Horizon2020 focused on using 3D video technology to preserve the Cultural Heritage of Europe. He directed and produced more than 200 short and medium length documentaries who received international awards and collected more than 100 million views on Facebook and he recently finished a Sci-Fi short film who is receiving international acclaim. His works span between cultural heritage, history, education and the relationship between technology, media and society.
